Just finished a book or a movie and full of things to say about it?

If you’re interested in reviewing a literary, musical or other work from a feminist perspective, we’d love to receive your post.

While all are invited to read and comment on the site, The Feminist Review is a place for feminists to post reviews.

Not sure if you qualify? Only you can decide whether or not you’re a feminist.

If you believe that all genders’ and sexes’ equality should be honored and inherent in interactions (from interpersonal to institutional), perhaps you’re a feminist.

If the term just doesn’t appeal to you because you associate it with bra-burning and feminazis, perhaps you should learn more about women’s movements.

If you identify as a womanist or mujerista, you know that feminism has long been considered a white, middle-class movement of women by many women of color and others in the struggle. White privilege continues to be a failing of the mainstream (white) feminist movement, and leaving the word and mindset behind is commendable. But since the creator of thefeministreview.com is white, “feminist” seems the most accurate term.

If you’re a man and believe men can’t be feminists, perhaps you’re a feminist ally or pro-feminist.
